Seed Production Agronomist

Kirsten, Class of 2017
Kirsten coordinates field production research trials for sweet corn and garden beans. She performs producibility trials for sweet corn to determine best practices for each inbred. These best practices are shared with the agronomists that will plant the large field productions of inbred and hybrid seed. She also participates in product advancement meetings each year to determine what lines advance.

John, Class of 2007
John has joined the NRCS regional staff for soil survey in Indianapolis. He works on several projects that coordinate with other soil survey offices in doing the soil survey update work across the Midwest. He ensures the quality of the soil data before it is published.

Tyler manages the sales and services of the eight retail locations in Farm Service Co-op’s Agronomy Division. He is in charge of the business management including seed budgeting, margins, pricing, logistics, supply and facility improvements. Tyler also farms with his family.

Colin conducts in-season scouting of grower’s fields and makes recommendations by sub-field environment on seeding, nitrogen, fertilizer, and other agronomic recommendations as needed. He also collects and processes research trial samples such as plant tissue and root weights.
